Children of Abraham Need to Return to Common Faith

The situation in the Holy Lands is sad because all of the people involved consider themselves the Children of Abraham. Each considers Abraham their “Father in Faith.” As tragic as it may be, religion is the source of the conflict. For Israel, the sign of being chosen as the Children of Abraham is the sign of the Land. Therefore they cannot relinquish it. The solution to the whole problem might be to return to that common heritage as “Children of Abraham” and concentrate on what they have in common.
Jose Bove fights the Mc-Domination of the world

This past summer in France, a mustachioed, pipe-smoking sheep farmer held the French’s regard in the headlines of Le Monde, with the attention usually reserved for soccer heroes: his name was Jose Bove. In August of 1999, Jose led a group attack on the McDonald’s near his farm in the south of France. His trial, held this summer, drew a crowd of over 15,000 people, and Bove commanded a following of thousands more.

Aside from Americans’ insistent focus on details and feelings, Kenji Ishikawa likes living in the U.S. Kenji is a 23-year-old senior majoring in sociology.

Since singling out Iraq, Iran, and North Korea as the ?axis of evil? during his state of the union address, the world has become increasingly concerned about this superpower engaging in a policy of self-justice.
The “Good Life”

“Where are you from?” People often ask me.
“I’m from here, Oregon.” I answer. It’s part of the truth.
It’s too difficult, most of the time, to explain that part of me is from Africa. I’m white and don’t have any sort of “strange” accent so I can usually pass for a typical US American (if such a thing exists). But, the truth is that I spent six years of my life before the age of 18 in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), West Africa.
Bush & Blair: Future Nobel Laureates?

A little over a month ago a member of Norway?s parliament, Harald Tom Nesvik, nominated Mr. George W. Bush (our president) and Mr. Tony Blair (Britain?s Prime Minister) for the (rather) prestigious Noble Peace Prize.
"The background for my nomination is their decisive action against terrorism, something I believe in the future will be the greatest threat to peace. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to use force to secure peace," said Nesvik.
